Representing both the United States and the Chinese Taipei in his career so far 29-year-old Jason Jung is an interesting sporting personality. Born in Torrance, California, he represented the USA from 2003-2015, when he changed over to the Chinese Taipei. In his career, he’s long been seen as an impressive up-and-comer who has reached an impressive 14 Tour finals in his career, winning six of them.
So far he’s also reached the Top 150 of the ATP rankings, and has won three events at ATP Challenges level. His first win at Tour level came against Cesar Ramirez in 2012, when he defeated him at the United States F21. Further wins would come against players like Dimitar Kutrovsky, Darian King and Ruben Ramirez Hidalgo.
His most recent win came in San Francisco, when he defeated Dominik Koepfer 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (7-5) in a pulsating final in Feburary 2018. While he might not have achieved the heights that some have expected when Jung first appeared on the scene, he’s a solid professional with a fine record at Tour level.
For many he’s seen as a fine example of professionalism, dedication and attention to detail on the court game-in, game-out.
