Ranked just behind Kevin Anderson, he is seen to be the next in line to carry the hopes of South Africa – a nation which is very passionate about its tennis.
August 2018 seen Harris arrive at his first Grand Slam event, when he got to the US Open via the Qualifying Rounds. He defeated JC Aragone 6-4, 6-2 also defeating Roberto Quiroz and Sebastian Ofner of Austria in the first round of the qualifying draw.
